Jesus – Never Be Thirsty Again

Ever heard someone say, “I’m thirsty for the lord” or, “I’m hungry for more of you” or how about, “Lord I’m empty.” These saying can sometimes drive me crazy. My bible says the following:

“Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again; 14 but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.” – John 4:13-14

Isn’t it funny how we forget these verses?  We know the truth in our heart but it is our minds that tend to catch up. It’s time to start focusing on the supply instead of the lack. God desires that you be full not empty, Hallelujah  and that is why He filled you up with the Holy Spirit. You are wall to wall Holy Spirit. You are full of God.

Now I get the term; we need more time with God which equals the phrase, “I’m hungry for more of God’s presence.” But while the motives behind the words are good, the result that we get is that we walk around defeated. If you keep thinking in your mind that you are empty and you keep needing to be re-filled, you will keep feeling empty inside. The truth is, how you see yourself is what you will become.

35 Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty – John 6:35

We have to have confidence in who we are in Christ. We are not empty vessels waiting to be filled, we have an unending well flowing on the inside of us. We are His, and as He is in us as we are in him. Full of God, lacking nothing. God has placed gifts inside of you. “We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us” (Rom 12:6). We have to see our self as righteous. We have a relationship with God where He does the giving and we do the receiving, and in our relationship with people, we do the giving and they do the receiving.

Although we fall and make mistakes we cannot allow our past actions to dictate who we are today. We are not empty people, but we are people full of love and Jesus. Jesus became sin so that we could become righteous!  The Bible does not say we are a cup that is filled and emptied  it says that we have a well on the inside! As Believers, it is impossible for you to be empty. We have life, and out of our life we flow rivers of more life. God doesn’t leave you or empty you; you stay full of God 24/7.You must see yourself with God’s perspective. God loves you! You are under a waterfall of God’s forgiveness. Remember, whoever drinks of the water Jesus gives you will never thirst again. Amen! You are full of God.

  1. Wonderful teaching! Now I have to speak on the point when we hear many say KING JESUS I thirst for more of you or I hunger for more of you.Just because one says I thirst or hunger for more of GOD dont mean they dont have the revelation that the HOLY SPIRIT lives in them.Whenever I say it im simply saying I want GOD to manifest more of HIMSELF to me.It’s a I WANT MORE KIND OF THING.More of your word I mean who dont want or need more of that?More encounters with KING JESUS,more experiences with him,a deeper love walk with him,a deeper demension if his joy, peace, love, more time with him.Thats why Paul said that I may know him.Paul said that I may know the breadth, width, height, and depth of KING JESUS.When we say we hunger for more of him and thirst for more of him we are only saying we want him to reveal more of HIMSELF to us.We are not saying we need him to fill us because we know the HOLY SPIRIT already have filled us.Now someone who is not saved may make that statement because they dont have living water yet.I know some saints do say things like LORD JESUS feel me up with you not knowing if the HOLY SPIRIT is in them they are already filled so I agree with that but when the saints say GOD give us more of you they are simply saying I want to encounter, know, believe, and recieve more frim you in a greater way.The HOLY SPIRIT lives in us but we must still grow, mature and learn and seek for more of KING JESUS as the HOLY SPIRIT reveal more of the word and person of JESUS so we cry out more if you KING JESUS.Great post though I just wanted to explain what I mean when I say I hunger and thirst for more if you.The difference is one saying I thirst for you and I thirst for more of you.I am of the latter part.GOD BLESS.
