Courage With Grace Logo

Let me tell you a story. In 2011, I was asking God, as usual, what my ministries name would be. I had always liked New Creation church, Lakewood, and many ministry names, but this time God told me, “Caleb do you know why your initials are C.W.G?” I said, “No Lord I don’t.” He then said, “It’s because you must have Courage With GraceC.W.G.” When I heard this I knew it was God because what the word Caleb means is, “Courage.”

We can add nothing to God’s grace, not even courage, and what i mean is that it is grace alone that saves, heals, and blesses us. The only reason courage is a part of this is because I really believe that God wants us to be courageous about this grace message, to not hold back, to declare to the world that salvation, healing, and prosperity has nothing to do with our efforts, but it has everything to do with the finished work that Christ has done!

To start this ministry we began with a tree logo because of the verse that says, “Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD And whose trust is the LORD.8“For he will be like a tree planted by the water” (Jeremiah 17:7-8). From that we went back the initials in the name Courage With Grace. We got a professional company to design the logo and after many weeks of working with designers, here it is.

Like many, I was raised up in church my entire life. For some people they struggle with what they want to do with their life. For me, it’s always been in my heart. Around the age of 12, God spoke to me and called me to preach. I really believe that this is what God has birthed me to do. It is time to encourage the body of Christ that it is not about self, it is all about Jesus.

In 2009, I went to a very popular internship/bible academy. I thought it would prepare me for ministry, but instead they taught me that God was angry at me and I needed to earn God’s forgiveness. I’m still glad I went because I met some great people and and learned a lot from this experience. I can also see how as I look back, I was filled with a lot of condemnation during this time. What I went to gain from that academy to prepare me to preach, was not gained there but came as a result of going there. I obtained what I needed after I left. It was then that God began to reveal my purpose for going and my purpose for preaching the gospel. It was then that God revealed to me a greater meaning of the truth of Grace.

At that academy they had me reading a lot. On the day I left, they took the books I was reading, away from me, leaving me sorta empty. I felt I needed some new books to read. I stopped by a Christian book store, and I was browsing through thousands of books when my mom miraculously picked up, “Destined to Reign” by Joseph Prince.  We bought it, and as I read it, I had a crucial encounter with God’s grace message. As I read page by page, my guilt and shame began to leave! In those pages, my life radically changed from being sin conscious into being Christ conscious. I had never completely finished a book until then, but now I read books by the week. I believe its true to the fact that those who don’t like to read have never really read a good book. And on March, 4th, 2012, I founded couragewithgrace.com to share the message that was shown to me. Later I moved the site to couragewithgrace.org which is where we are today.

Their is a huge importance of rightly dividing the Old and New Covenants. He has also shown me the peace and freedom we can gain from this knowledge. We are truly blessed by what Jesus has done. The truth of grace will truly set us free. I currently hold my Associates degree from Wharton County Junior College, and also received my Bachelors degree in Christian Leadership/Biblical Studies from the College of Biblical Studies in Houston, TX.
