Israel Houghton wrote a song that says, “Jesus at the center of it all. From beginning to the end, it will always be, it’s always been you Jesus, Jesus.” I love how this worship song speaks to our heart. It really causes us to see the big picture.
If we go throughout the scriptures, we can find Jesus being in the center. For instance, when the disciples were gathered together after Jesus’ death, He appeared to them. The Bible says He, “stood in their midst and said to them, ‘Peace be to you’” (Luke 24:36). The American King James Bible says He, “stood in the middle of them.” In their darkest hour, He was in the center.
Many times when Jesus would be in public, people would encircle Him. One time a man had to climb a tree just to get a glimpse of Jesus. Everyone wanted to know more about this man.
When Jesus was on the cross, He hung in the center of two thieves. Here a man who committed no crimes was the focus of this crucifixion. Jesus’ finished work on the cross is the central message of the Bible. The focus is Christ.
Even the universe is held together through Christ. Colossians 1:17 explains that, “He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.” This great galaxy that we call home is held by God. It is not by chance, only by grace.
Wherever Jesus was in the Bible people were healed, hope was restored, and lives were changed. Make Jesus the center of your life. That is what everything comes back to. Place your trust in Him. Put Jesus at the center of your marriage, finances, career, and relationships. good things happen when Jesus is the center. See how much He loves you. Remember, it’s all about Jesus.
